Volunteer Stockroom & Delivery Assistant

Our busy ward management team, responsible for our two wards, are looking for a volunteer to support our Ward Coordinator. As our volunteer you will support with the organising and sorting our delivery of essential medical and nonmedical supplies, to make sure our stockroom has everything our teams need, so our patients always receive excellent care.

Monday or Tuesday morning and Friday morning  (two to three hours twice per week)

Role responsibilities:

• Stock control and supporting with preparing orders
• Taking delivery of stock, which will include housekeeping, kitchen and ward supplies
• Checking the delivery note against the order making a record of any errors
• Sorting the delivery note for each department
• Using the trolley to put away resources throughout the in patient unit
• Supporting the team by tidying and sorting supply cupboards when needed
• Discussing any queries, problems or observations with the ward co-ordinator
• Adhering to our Volunteering Code of Conduct at all times
• Attending relevant meetings & undertake all training required
• Acting as an ambassador for St Catherine's at all times
