Guilt free gift buying to support St Catherine’s

News and Blog

Keen shoppers came out in force at historic Knepp Castle, near Horsham, on Thursday (21 September) for the New Horizons Appeal Autumn Gift Fair in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice.
Visitors to the fair were treated to a luxury shopping experience and the chance for some early Christmas gift shopping at more than 80 stalls selling gorgeous home ware, clothing for all ages, and local produce.

A Wednesday preview evening, which allowed visitors to exclusively browse stalls ahead of the main fair day whilst drinking bubbles and eating canapés, was also well attended.

Liz Kitchen, New Horizons Chairperson, said: “We’d like to extend our grateful thanks to Sir Charles and Lady Burrell for inviting us to return to their beautiful grounds at Knepp Castle and to Crest Nicholson for supporting our unique shopping experience. We hope our shoppers found some beautiful gifts and enjoyed indulging in some guilt-free shopping, knowing they were helping raise vital funds for their local hospice.”

Suzanne Connor, New Horizons Appeal Co-ordinator at St Catherine’s, said: “It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the Autumn Gift Fair. We’re really grateful to the New Horizons Appeal for their continued support of our hospice. Their support helps us be there to provide expert end of life care to terminally ill people and their family and friends across Sussex and Surrey. We’d like to thank them for all the effort they put into hosting this year’s gift fair.”

New Horizons Appeal are long standing supporters of St Catherine’s and through a variety of high profile events have raised more than £2 million for their local hospice.
